HOW TO MAKE
One fabric should be white or light colored. Satiny fabric is best. The
other fabric can be whatever you want.
Use a water glass as a template. Place the water glass onto both pieces of fabric, and trace around each piece of fabric and cut out. Use a double strand of thread and sew stitches all around the outer edge of each of the circles. Don't knot. Pull (gather) up the stitches TIGHTLY--to form a yo-yo, then knot tightly. Stitches will be in the center of the back. Even out the yo-yos so they lay smooth.
Starting at the center of the white yo-yo, sew outward to the edge. Pull
up the stitches to make gathers, forming a kind of heart shape. Knot the thread tightly. This is the wings. The upper part of the heart-like shape is the top.
Test fit the two yo-yos together with the white yo-yo to the upper back
of the other yo-yo, and the stitched sides of both yo-yos together.
When you are pleased with the placement, hot glue the two yo-yos together.
Place a bit of hot glue onto the bead and dip quickly into the tiniest
crystal beads. This forms the halo. Using a fine line permanent marker to make tiny dots for the eyes and a tiny oval for the mouth.
Glue the head just at the top of the front edge of the yo-yo body. Make a small bow with a piece of satin ribbon to match the fabric. Glue the bow just under the head. Trim the ends of the bow.
You can give this as a little gift.
