Bird Feeder Crafts
Pine Cone Feeder
Tie a string around the wide end of a pine cone
Cover large pine cones with lard
Roll in small seeds
Hang in tree
Juice Container Feeder
Cut windows in the sides of wax cartons, leaving a 5 cm (2 in) deep tray at the bottom
Poke a small hole near the top of the carton
Thread a string through hole in carton
Fill with the carton sunflower seed
Hang in a tree
Pie Pan Feeder
Punch four holes in an aluminum pie pan
Tie a piece of string to each hole
Pull all four pieces up and tie into one big knot
Place rocks and bird seed in pie pan
Hang on tree
Wooden Hanging Feeder
Use wooden pieces shaped like hearts, circles, etc.
Cut small hole in top middle of wooden piece
Cover wooden piece completely in lard
Place birdseed in a metal pie pan about 2" deep
Roll wooden piece in birdseed - cover completely with birdseed
Tie string through hole and hang outside
