If your cat has a tendency toward being overweight and you feed free-choice (leaving the bowl of food out all the time), it may be time to put her on a feeding schedule so that she is not grazing all day. Most cats do well on twice a day feeding. Divide the daily recommended amount of food into two feedings, one for the morning and one for the evening.
