The Cat's Prayer
NOW HEAR THIS!
I have full run of this household and
your sole purpose is to take care of me.
I pray God
keeps you able to do so.
Feed me well and promptly,
so that I may then lie down and stare at you. Do not
try to move me if I am on top of the TV, even if my
tail is hanging in front of the picture. You may pet
me as often as you wish, although I can do without
the idiotic statements you utter as you do so.
Keep in mind, if I thought the lady next door would
feed me any better, I'd be out of here in a minute. If
it is loyalty you are looking for, get a dog."

When attempting to perform routine home care on your cat, such as grooming, ear cleaning or nail trimming, make sure to do it when she is relaxed. A good time to work on your cat is right after she wakes up from a nap. Her demeanor will be calm and she will be more compliant.
