Sharon's daughter, Kathy, 5, was an animal lover. They lived in the country and Kathy rode the bus to school.
One day she got off the bus and came running to Sharon.
"Mommy, Mommy, I went to pet the kitty and he peed all over me!"
When Sharon opened the door she could smell that the "kitty" was a skunk! (Kathy survived just fine. She is now 39.)
"The purr from cat to man says, 'You bring me happiness; I am at peace with you.'" ~ Barbara L. Diamond
When you are visiting a breeder in preparation for acquiring a new cat, pay attention to the state of the facilities and the health of the cats. Ask to see the premises where the cats are kept and check for cleanliness and overcrowding. Ask about the mother's temperament and note her nourishment and state of well-being. Most professional breeders will gladly answer your questions and proudly show you their facilities. If you are met with resistance, consider visiting another breeder.
