Soft shortbread
1 c. soft butter
1 c. flour
1/2 c. corn starch
1/2 c. icing sugar
1 tsp. vanilla


Preheat oven to 325 F. Beat butter and vanilla until foamy. Add dry ingredients and blend. Do not overstir. Spoon onto an ungreased pan. Bake at 325º F until done (10 to 20 minutes depending on thickness).
