A turkey should never be carved until it has been out of the oven at least 30 minutes. This permits the inner cooking to subside and the internal meat juices to stop running. Once the meat sets, it's easier to carve clean, neat slices.
4 cups white sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 can (12 fl. oz.) evaporated milk
1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme
1 jar (16 oz.) peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Grease a 13 x 9 x 2" baking dish.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, brown sugar, butter and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and boil for 7 minutes.
Remove from heat; stir in marshmallow creme until well incorporated and melted. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla until smooth; spread in prepared pan. Let cool before cutting into squares. Yield: 24 servings.
"The joys of the table belong equally to all ages, conditions, countries and times; they mix with all other pleasures, and remain the last to console us for their loss."
Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin.
