A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly.
For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper... and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,
"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"
If dogs could talk, it would take a lot of the fun out of owning one.

Some dogs seem to expel copious amounts of gas. Since flatulence can result from swallowing air, dogs who gulp their food at meal times may benefit from having their dry dog food mixed with water as this will increase volume and help slow down eating. In a multi-pet household, feeding dogs individually in a quiet place may slow the consumption of food.
