1 cup distilled or spring water
1 tsp. slippery elm powder
1 Tbsp. honey (for dogs)
Place water in a small saucepan and mix in powder, stirring with a whisk to remove all lumps. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. After mixture reaches a boil, turn down to simmer and stir a few
more minutes until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat. Allow to cool. Mix in food at mealtime. Give 1/2 teaspoon three or four times a day to a cat. Give 1 teaspoon to 3 tablespoons (depending on your dog's size) three or four times a day. If dog or cat will not
eat, you can give it with a teaspoon, syringe, or baster.
UPSET STOMACH REMEDY
(for dogs and cats)
Any member introducing a dog into the Society's premises shall be liable to a fine of one pound. Any animal leading a blind person shall be deemed to be a cat.
~Oxford Union Society, London, Rule 46
It is easy to give your dog too many treats. When you give a ten pound dog a treat that contains 20 calories (most treats are higher in calories than this), it is like giving a one hundred a fifty pound person a treat of 300 calories. This is comparable to eating a candy bar. Imagine giving 3 or 4 candy bars a day!
