1 cup equi-pellets or oats
2 cups molasses
1 cup wheaten chaff
1 cup oaten chaff
1 cup lucern chaff
1 cup bran
Hot water
Carrots and apples
Mix chaff and oats together in a bucket. In a separate bucket, mix water and molasses and pour over chaff mix. Mix it all together thoroughly. How much water and molasses you use is up to you. Add the carrots and apples. This feed can be split to use for 2 or 3 horses or just add a handful to their normal feed, because it is quite rich; and you don't want your horse to colic.
Many people have sighed for the 'good old days' and regretted the 'passing of the horse,' but today, when only those who like horses own them, it is a far better time for horses.

In Milwaukee, Wisconsin if you leave your car parked for over two hours, you must tie a horse to it. In Omaha, Nebraska you can tie your horse to the hitching post every house is required to have in front of it.
